What is PRP?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is prepared by drawing a small volume of your blood and centrifuging it to isolate platelets. Injected across the scalp, PRP delivers platelet-derived growth factors that can support follicles, improve calibre and scalp environment.
- Often used for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) as an adjunct to medical therapy.
- Helpful in telogen effluvium recovery and post-transplant healing support.
- Can be paired with microneedling when appropriate.
When we recommend PRP
- Men & women with early-to-moderate AGA aiming to support density.
- As an adjunct to minoxidil/finasteride where medically suitable.
- After hair transplant to support healing and graft environment.
- Patients preferring autologous options to improve scalp quality.

Treatment Plan & Timeline
| Phase | Schedule | Notes |

| Maintenance | Every 4–6 months (as advised) | Frequency tailored to response, goals and medical regimen. |
| Expected | 2–3 months onward | Comfort/quality improvements first; cosmetic density builds slower. |

PRP FAQs
PRP is best viewed as a supportive therapy. It can improve hair calibre and scalp quality,
and may slow miniaturisation—especially when combined with doctor-guided medications.
We use topical anaesthesia and fine needles to keep you comfortable. You may feel brief pinches/pressure.
Most patients resume light routine the same day. Avoid heavy workouts/sauna for 24–48 hours.
PRP is not a one-time cure. Maintenance sessions every few months are common; your plan is personalised to your response.
